Silent Expansion

Silent Expansion is a work that explores the tension between the contained and the expansive. On the surface of a nautical sail from the sailboat Sylene, asphalt ink, lime and white acrylic dispute the pictorial space in a gesture of pure matter. The work was born in 2020, in full confinement, as a response to enclosure and the need to give form to what cannot be contained.
